On November 5, Rhode Island voters will have an opportunity to demonstrate their support for the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College by voting \u201cYES\u201d on Question 2, approving a higher education bond for Rhode Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Yes on 2” committee is looking for volunteers to stand at key polling locations on Election Day, during peak voting hours (7\u20139 a.m. or 5\u20138 p.m.). No experience is needed\u2014just enthusiasm for 911±¬ΑΟ and a willingness to hold a “Yes on 2” sign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of Question 2 will invest $87.5 million for the construction of a 911±¬ΑΟ biomedical sciences building and $73 million for renovations and modernizations to transform Whipple Hall into a dedicated home for RIC\u2019s Institute for Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies.
