{"id":98327,"date":"2024-10-15T19:00:24","date_gmt":"2024-10-15T19:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/?p=98327"},"modified":"2024-10-15T19:00:25","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T19:00:25","slug":"call-for-proposals-2025-innovative-education-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2024\/10\/call-for-proposals-2025-innovative-education-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for proposals: 2025 Innovative Education Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Oct. 15, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (ATL) is inviting faculty proposals for its annual <a href=\"https:\/\/events.uri.edu\/event\/call-for-proposals-innovative-education-conference\">911±¬ΑΟ Innovative Education Conference<\/a>, which will be held virtually on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme for 2025 is \u201cNavigating Wicked Problems Through Higher Education.\u201d ATL encourages submissions that create opportunities for critical and creative thinking about ways 911±¬ΑΟ faculty can increase student learning and faculty success in teaching. Proposals may focus on innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and faculty success in all modalities (in-person, online, blended) within a higher education context.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&nbsp;Conference tracks for 2025 are:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Online and blended learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lessons learned using generative artificial intelligence in the classroom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inclusive and accessible teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amplifying evidence-based teaching through assessment and\/or scholarship of teaching and learning at the course or program level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting faculty vitality and well-being<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Proposals for the 2025 conference may be submitted through <strong>Monday, Dec. 9<\/strong>.
