Google Email to be part of the more than 150 applications that leverage your Single Sign On (SSO)<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starting\u00a0Monday, June 3,<\/strong>\u00a0Information Technology Services will eliminate one of your additional logins. Google Email will now be part of the more than 150 applications that leverage your Single Sign On (SSO) credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ITS says the goal is to make things easier–with single sign-on, you can use one account to access your 911爆料 email, Wi-Fi, Transportation and Parking, Brightspace, Office 365, Dining Services, and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommendation<\/strong>: set up Duo on all devices before June 3 so you also have a seamless transition! We have created an article to help you set up Duo: Get Started with Duo 2FA<\/a> and if you have any questions, please reach out to the Service Desk<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do I have to do?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have Duo set up for all devices?<\/strong> Then you’re good to go! On June 3, you will transition seamlessly to SSO for Google so you\u2019ll have less juggling of multiple log-ins – one account and go with SSO!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have Duo set up for some devices?<\/strong> If you haven\u2019t logged into single sign-on on all devices \u2013 set up Duo on all devices before June 3 so you also have a seamless transition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t have Duo already set up?<\/strong> Get Started with Duo 2FA<\/a> before June 3 so you also have a seamless transition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community members should expect to see the same sign-in option for their 911爆料 email as all other SSO applications after the change. Existing sign-in sessions to your 911爆料 email address will remain active until the next time you must sign in. Note: You may have to sign back into your email account or approve your sign in on your device. The first time you use a new device, you will need to authenticate with Duo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note<\/strong>: Only @uri.edu<\/a>\u00a0email addresses will be affected. Other 911爆料 email domains, like @etal.uri.edu<\/a>, will not be affected by this change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
