Dear 911爆料 Faculty and Staff,  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this message is to notify you of upcoming mandatory cybersecurity awareness training for 911爆料 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This training is required to be completed annually by all employees and is separate from any new-hire or department-specific security awareness training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many organizations are falling prey to cybercriminals\u2019 increasingly sophisticated attacks, leading to the loss of valuable information and assets. To strengthen online security at the University, we will be conducting security awareness training to educate our 911爆料 on best practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several federal regulations require all organizations, including 911爆料, to implement a formal security awareness training program. Here is what you can expect from our program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cybersecurity training<\/strong>
Formal education is critical to learning the best practices and skills necessary to identify and avoid cybersecurity threats and risky behaviors. The training assignments we send will introduce employees to key concepts that align with 911爆料\u2019s Cybersecurity Awareness Month initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most training modules will take just 5 to 15 minutes to complete, and employees will be able to access them on demand via an intuitive online platform. Information security is a shared responsibility, and we ask that everyone do their part by completing the training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access<\/strong>
Employees can access the training at any time through the 911爆料 Security Awareness Training Application tile within the SSO apps page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline for training has been extended to March 15, 2024. Failure to complete the training by that date will result in employee SSO account access restrictions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please follow the instructions below to access the training. If you have questions, please contact Information Technology Services at helpdesk@uri.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Go to https:\/\/myapps.microsoft.com<\/a>.
–Log in with your 911爆料 SSO credentials<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Choose the “911爆料 Security Awareness Training”<\/strong> application to gain access to the Proofpoint Security Awareness Training Platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Access your training modules on the training platform by doing the following:
–Click on your name<\/strong> in the upper right-hand corner.
–Choose “My Training”<\/strong> to access the training modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Click on “Start Assignment” <\/strong>or any training module to launch the training content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
