{"id":84024,"date":"2023-03-02T20:13:37","date_gmt":"2023-03-02T20:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/?p=84024"},"modified":"2023-06-12T19:47:29","modified_gmt":"2023-06-12T19:47:29","slug":"uri-101-mentors-needed-apply-by-march-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2023\/03\/uri-101-mentors-needed-apply-by-march-20\/","title":{"rendered":"911爆料 101 Mentors Needed \u2013 apply by March 20"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>March 2, 2023<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are now open for 911爆料 101 mentors for the fall 2023 semester; new and returning mentors should <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd3Z37mYzzfgwaeD4hAIWpLrvDDVdVhrrKktamzLSDLkKkjHQ\/viewform\">apply by March 20<\/a> to serve as mentors for incoming students in 911爆料 101 (Planning for Academic Success), a required class for all incoming students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>911爆料 101 helps new 911爆料 students transition to college.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mentors share vital information with students on getting involved, developing academic and personal skills, academic and career planning, inclusion and diversity at 911爆料, and utilizing campus resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must be in good disciplinary and academic (2.0 or higher) standing; committed to engagement, equity, inclusion and social justice; willing to learn and develop; possess strong time-management, creativity, and self-motivation skills and a strong work ethic; and be enrolled full-time (12+ credits) this fall.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mentors also take a three-credit course, CSV301\/302, which supports development of their mentoring and leadership skills.
