As a result, the University of Rhode Island is making the following schedule and parking modifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLASSES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Evening classes on Monday, Feb. 27, will meet as scheduled.<\/li><li>Classes on Tuesday, Feb. 28, that begin <strong><u>before 12:30 p.m.<\/u><\/strong> are canceled.<\/li><li>Classes on Tuesday, Feb. 28, that begin <strong><u>at 12:30 p.m. or after<\/u><\/strong> will meet as scheduled.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BUSINESS OPERATIONS AND STAFF REPORTING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University will maintain normal business operations on Tuesday. All essential employees must report to work. Non-essential employees may work remotely if feasible with the approval of their supervisor. Non-essential employees may also request to discharge vacation or personal leave.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"cl-wrapper cl-notice-wrapper\"><div class=\"cl-notice expired dismissed  \" data-hash=\"e8a2578fd267a847dbcd76f4ebab0673\">\n\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2023\/02\/adverse-weather-policy-in-effect\/\">adverse weather policy is in effect<\/a> for RI state employees February 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n<p><strong>CLINICAL EXPERIENCES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In-area pharmacy, nursing, and physical therapy students should contact their site preceptor\/clinical instructor to discuss the appropriate actions to take Monday night and Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LIBRARY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Carothers Library and Learning Commons will close at 11 p.m. on Monday and reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DINING HALLS, HEALTH SERVICES, AND CAMPUS RECREATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All on-campus dining halls and campus health services will follow normal operating hours. Campus Recreation facilities will be closed in the morning, opening at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PARKING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University will institute a full parking ban from 9 p.m. tonight, Monday, Feb. 27, until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28. (Faculty\/staff lots will open at 8 a.m.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a full parking ban, parking is <strong><u>prohibited<\/u><\/strong> in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Any roadway or roadside on the Kingston Campus (including Flagg Road) and Narragansett Bay Campus<\/li><li>Parking spaces on the south side of Quarry Road located outside ZBT and Hillel<\/li><li>Parking spaces on the uphill south side of Fraternity Circle outside Delta Zeta<\/li><li>All commuter lots<\/li><li>All faculty\/staff lots (faculty\/staff lots will open at 8 a.m.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Parking is <strong><u>permitted<\/u><\/strong> in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lot 1 (Briar Lane)<\/li><li>Lot 6 (Fine Arts South); faculty, staff and students<\/li><li>Lots 20 and 22; resident student permit holders only<\/li><li>Lots 26 and 27 (Keaney and Boss); resident student permit holders only<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Vehicles parked in a prohibited zone during a full parking ban will be ticketed and\/or towed at the owner\u2019s expense.
