We are pleased to share the executed <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/equal-opportunity\/equal-employment-opportunity\/civil-rights-reports\/\"><strong>FY24-FY25 Non-Discrimination Plan<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of our commitment to promoting civil rights compliance and ensuring equal opportunity for all, the Office of Equal Opportunity has continued to monitor guidance from the Rhode Island Department of Administration Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, which is responsible for enforcing Rhode Island General Laws \u00a7\u00a7 28-5-1, as well as guidance issued by the federal government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To comply with new civil rights compliance requirements, the Office of Equal Opportunity has introduced an <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/equal-opportunity\/equal-employment-opportunity\/\"><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity<\/strong><\/a> tab, where you may find:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A definition of <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/equal-opportunity\/affirmative-action-in-employment\/\"><strong>permissible affirmative action<\/strong><\/a>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An updated <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/equal-opportunity\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2127\/11-17-25-CRC-Toolkit.pdf\"><strong>Civil Rights Compliance Toolkit<\/strong><\/a> for Employee Recruitment, Selection, and Hiring, as well as an <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/equal-opportunity\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2127\/Accesibility-Considerations-Checklist.pdf\"><strong>Accessibility Considerations Checklist<\/strong><\/a>, and other resources for <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/equal-opportunity\/resources-for-hiring-managers-search-chairs-and-search-committee-members\/\"><strong>Hiring Managers, Search Chairs, and Search Committee Members<\/strong><\/a>; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civil Rights Reports, including the executed <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/equal-opportunity\/equal-employment-opportunity\/civil-rights-reports\/\"><strong>FY24-FY25 Non-Discrimination Plan<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to partnering with you and continuing to expand these resources.
