Jan. 6, 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The 911±¬ΑΟ Honors Program is seeking faculty interested in engaging in Honors contracts with undergraduate Honors students. Honors contracts are a great way to attract high-achieving and highly motivated students to courses and majors. For students, Honors contracts allow them to tailor their learning in their courses to their own personal interests and goals; they provide opportunities for honors-level work when there are limitations on the number of honors courses offered; and they foster close mentoring relationships with faculty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Honors contracts are 20-hour independent scholarly or creative projects that Honors students undertake to be able to earn Honors credits in a non-Honors course. (Note this is not extra credit<\/em>; it is translating the course credits to fulfill Honors credits requirements.) The project should amplify or expand the course topics and materials, not simply be more work. They require, in general, 3-5 hours of work total on the part of the faculty member.
