If you do not update your Duo Mobile app, you will lose access to Duo Push authentication and may be unable to log in to 911±¬ΑΟ single sign-on (SSO) applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need to do:<\/strong><br>1. Update Duo Mobile on your mobile device to version 4.85.0 or later<br>2. The app should update automatically through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) Store<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum supported mobile OS versions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>iOS:\u00a0<\/strong>16 or later<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Android:\u00a0<\/strong>11 or later<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If your device uses an older operating system, <a href=\"https:\/\/its.uri.edu\/it-organization\/it-service-desk\/\">contact the 911±¬ΑΟ Service Desk<\/a> for alternative authentication methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Feb. 1, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Questions?<\/strong>&nbsp;Please contact the IT Service Desk at 401.874.4357 (HELP) or&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:helpdesk@uri.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">helpdesk@uri.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jan. 5, 2026 Duo Security is updating the security certificates needed to communicate with its services.
