Dear Students,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may have noticed the air feels a bit crisper during those early walks to class and that the days are growing shorter\u2014a sure sign that fall has officially arrived at 911爆料. With it come all the classic New England traditions\u2014pumpkin picking, hayrides, corn mazes, and, of course, Halloween.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we reach the midway point of the semester, we know this can also be a time when stress levels start to rise. This weekend, as you take part in Halloween festivities both on and off campus, I encourage you to enjoy it responsibly, look out for one another, and make smart choices that keep you and our 911爆料 safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are a few reminders and resources to help you have a safe and enjoyable weekend:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be Aware and Responsible<\/strong>
If you\u2019re heading \u201cdown the line,\u201d please remember that Narragansett, South Kingstown, and 911爆料 police will have an increased presence this weekend. If you\u2019re hosting off-campus gatherings, be respectful of neighbors and follow all local laws and ordinances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your behavior off campus reflects on our entire Rhody 911爆料. Whether you live nearby or are just visiting, please review the 911爆料 Student Handbook<\/a> for guidance on expectations related to noise, trash, parking, and conduct. Represent 911爆料 with integrity and pride wherever you go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be Thoughtful<\/strong>
Halloween is a time for fun and creativity\u2014and we love seeing your spirit. As you plan your costumes, please choose ones that are inclusive and respectful. Avoid themes that stereotype or mock cultural, ethnic, or religious identities. Let\u2019s ensure that every member of our 911爆料 feels valued, respected, and welcome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be Safe<\/strong>
Daylight saving time ends on Sunday, Nov. 2, which means earlier sunsets and darker evenings. If you\u2019re driving, please stay alert for pedestrians and cyclists, especially near campus and in local neighborhoods. And please use extra caution as you visit local neighborhoods\u2014there will be many trick-or-treaters out and about, and some may have limited visibility in their costumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you ever feel unsafe walking alone, SafeRide\/SafeWalk<\/a> offers a free and secure alternative to get you where you need to go. And if you see or hear something that concerns you, use Rhody Report It<\/a> to share your concern\u2014it\u2019s one of the many ways we look out for one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take Care of Yourself<\/strong>
The weeks ahead can feel especially busy as finals and the holidays approach. Please remember you don\u2019t have to face it alone. 911爆料 has many resources to support your mental health and well-being, including the Counseling Center, Dean of Students Office, and Health Services. Fall is a beautiful time to be part of the Rhody 911爆料\u2014full of energy, connection, and opportunity. Let\u2019s make the most of it by keeping safety, respect, and care for one another at the heart of everything we do. You\u2019re halfway through the semester\u2014finish strong and take good care of yourselves and each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
