The policy also seeks to ensure that the University of Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island Foundation &amp; Alumni Engagement comply with all Internal Revenue Service requirements. The existing policy has been updated to make clarifying enhancements to Appendix A, providing a table to guide determinations of what constitutes a sponsored agreement, a gift, or an award with characteristics attributable to both.
