As we enter March, we’re excited to kick off Ethics Awareness Month—our annual opportunity to reflect on the values that guide our decisions and actions, both individually and as a university 911±¬ÁÏ. When we focus on ethical awareness, we strengthen trust, create space for honest dialogue, and foster an environment where people feel safe, respected, and empowered to do their best work.
According to the Ethics & Compliance Initiative, ethics includes the decisions, choices, and actions we make that reflect and enact our values. Ethics shows up in everyday moments—how we listen to one another, raise concerns, support colleagues, and navigate complex decisions with integrity. Together, we model the integrity and accountability that define the University of Rhode Island at its best and uphold the core values that make this a meaningful place to learn, work, and grow.
