As work gets underway on a transformative renovation of Meade Stadium—designed to elevate the game-day experience for fans, visitors, and teams—there will be a temporary closure of the sidewalk along the south side of West Alumni Avenue, as well as a portion of the nearby bike path.
Clear signage will be in place to guide pedestrians and cyclists along convenient detour routes. Additional information regarding these upcoming closures and detours can be found below:
West Alumni Avenue – South Sidewalk
- Closure date: February 17, 2026 – June 2027.
- Location: between Almond Plaza and Complex Road.
- Detour: Pedestrian traffic will be routed along the north sidewalk at either end of the closure.
- Note: Bike Path will remain open February 17 – February 23, 2026.
Bike Path – Meade Stadium
- Closure Date: February 23, 2026 – June 2027.
- Location: within Meade Stadium fencing.
- Detour: Pedestrian/Bike traffic will be routed east-bound along West Alumni Ave, Butterfield Road, and the Elephant walk to bypass the closed off section.
