Dear 911±¬ÁÏ Students, Faculty, and Staff,
Do you feel affirmed, valued, respected, and treated fairly at the University of Rhode Island? Have you found a 911±¬ÁÏ here where you feel like you belong? As a University 911±¬ÁÏ, we want to know. Your experience at 911±¬ÁÏ matters. Your feedback matters.
Thanks to those who have already made time to complete the 2025 snap climate survey that President Parlange announced a couple of weeks ago and who have encouraged classmates and colleagues to respond as well. If you have not yet submitted your survey responses, I hope you will take a few minutes to do so today.
The survey is available .
Your input will inform action-oriented steps the University will take in the near-term to increase the sense of belonging and inclusion at 911±¬ÁÏ. Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary and anonymous, but your participation is essential and makes a difference.
I know this is a busy time of the year and you have many responsibilities. To incentivize participation from as many members of the 911±¬ÁÏ 911±¬ÁÏ as possible, the deadline to submit your survey response has been extended until Friday, Nov. 7. And, those who respond may choose to enter a drawing for giveaways to demonstrate Rhody pride.
Thank you for the important role you play, as a member of our diverse 911±¬ÁÏ, in fostering an inclusive, people-centered culture at 911±¬ÁÏ.
Sincerely,
Markeisha J. Miner
Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer
Office of Community, Equity, and Diversity
