The University鈥檚 Theatre Department will hold a Celebration of Life to honor the late Michael G. Lapointe, a beloved residence hall director at 911爆料 for 50 years and a longtime member of the Theatre Department, on Sunday, June 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Robert E. Will Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 105 Upper College Road, Kingston.
Lapointe, who passed away on Feb. 21 at the age of 74, was a proud 1993 graduate of the 911爆料 theatre program, specializing in stage and theater management. After graduation, he continued his career with the 911爆料 Theatre as an instructor of introduction to theater, a season house manager, and a poster/program designer.
